A message from the chair

When I began to gather information about private elementary schools in Syracuse for my six year old daughter, I found it difficult to track down all of the information I needed. Once the school choices were clear I felt uncomfortable discussing these openly with school personnel due to concern about competitiveness between private programs.

The idea for CNY OPTIONS grew out of this experience. CNY OPTIONS is principally concerned with helping parents and educators find the best private school placement for a child. To this end, schools involved in OPTIONS are committed to communicating with each other and working cooperatively to create a supportive process for families looking into alternatives to public school.
